Rico Sisney

Rico Sisney is a father, learner/teacher, performing/recording artist, and direct action practitioner/trainer/strategist living on the West Coast. He has roots in the South and the Midwest and has climbed trees in 49 states. The streams of his work flow towards Black Liberation, transformation, climate and environmental justice, and leadership development. As his work is grounded in the understanding that emotional sustainability is essential for long-term movement success, he integrates practices that allow him and those with whom he collaborates to show up as whole people in service of collective liberation. He is new to the team and is here because he believes that while we stand on the shoulders of giants in this work, the most creative and strategic work our collective movements have to offer will be cooked up by those who have not yet been trained.
